57º Skye DISTILLERY

AWARD-WINNING DISTILLERY AT THE HEART OF BROADFORD, ISLE OF SKYE

57º SKYE Distillery (formerly Broadford Distillery) is a small, working distillery in Broadford on the Isle of Skye. We make our gin and gin liqueurs entirely on site and also finish and bottle our whisky here. What you see when you visit is the real day-to-day work of the distillery.
Founded by two people who live and work on Skye, the distillery is run by distiller Seumas Gorman, who develops and produces the spirits, and Seamus O’Baoighill, who oversees the business alongside his work as a Scottish traditional musician. Together, we keep things practical and focused on making good spirits.
This isn’t a recreated heritage site or a visitor attraction. It’s a working distillery producing spirits in small batches, using automation where it makes sense and manual work where it matters.
What We Make
Our focus is on gin, using it as a flexible base to explore botanicals and flavour, alongside a small range of gin liqueurs and bottled cocktails, all made on site. We also work with sourced Scotch whisky, which we finish, sometimes blend, and bottle ourselves. This includes our own take on Usquebaugh, as well as small whisky releases shaped by cask choice and flavour development.
Across everything we make, we aim for balance, clarity of flavour, and the freedom to try new ideas.
Tastings and Visits
We offer a range of tastings that reflect how we work, from guided spirits tastings to paired experiences like chocolate and spirits. Tastings take place in the distillery itself and are relaxed, informal, and centred around conversation.
We’re based on Skye because it’s where we’re from. When you visit, we want you to see how the distillery really runs, meet the people doing the work, and leave with a good sense of what goes into the spirits we make. Visitors are always welcome to stop by, have a look around, and ask questions.
